Eighteen South Sessional Suites is a facility operator. We provide consulting rooms and shared facilities to independent practitioners. We do not provide healthcare services and we do not hold your patient health records. If you are seeking access to your health records, contact your treating practitioner directly.

1. Who we are

Eighteen South Sessional Pty Ltd ACN 697 121 421 as Trustee for The Eighteen South Sessional Family Trust, trading as Eighteen South Sessional Suites, operates medical consulting suites at 18 South Street, Ipswich QLD 4305.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

In this notice, "we", "us", and "our" refers to Eighteen South Sessional Pty Ltd as trustee. "You" refers to anyone whose personal information we hold — including website visitors, prospective practitioners, and contracted practitioners.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect personal information only when it is reasonably necessary for our functions as a facility operator.

Website visitors

  • Name, email address, and enquiry details submitted via our contact form
  • Technical data collected automatically by our website (see our Cookie Policy)

Prospective and contracted practitioners

  • Name, contact details, professional credentials, and AHPRA registration details
  • ABN and business details for invoicing and contracting
  • Insurance certificate details
  • Emergency contact details

CCTV

CCTV cameras operate in common areas of our facility (excluding consulting rooms). Footage may capture images of practitioners, their staff, and visitors to the suites. Signage is displayed at the premises.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health information) about patients. Patient health records are held by individual practitioners, not by us.

3. How we collect personal information

We collect information directly from you — through our website contact form, by email, by phone, or in person during facility visits. We may also receive credential or registration information from third-party sources such as AHPRA's public register.

4. Why we collect personal information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries about room hire and sessional arrangements
  • enter into and administer room hire and service agreements
  • verify practitioner credentials and maintain a credentialing register
  • manage facility bookings and access
  • comply with our legal obligations
  • maintain the safety and security of our premises

We do not use your personal information for direct marketing without your consent.

5. Disclosure of personal information

We do not sell or trade personal information. We may disclose personal information to:

  • our legal advisers, where required for contracting or compliance purposes
  • our accountants or insurers, where relevant
  • government agencies or regulators (including AHPRA), where required by law
  • emergency services, where disclosure is necessary to protect health or safety

We do not routinely disclose information overseas. If we ever need to do so, we will take steps consistent with APP 8.

6. How we store and protect your information

Personal information is stored securely in electronic systems with access limited to authorised personnel. Physical documents are stored in locked filing. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

7. Access and correction

You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. In some circumstances we may need to decline access — if we do, we will explain why in writing.

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches the APPs, please contact us first. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.
