Born and raised in the Northern Territory, Dr Verrall moved to Queensland after completing high school in order to follow his dream of studying Medicine. After graduating from James Cook University Medical School in 2011, he completed his Orthopaedic surgical training in Queensland in 2023.
In 2024 Dr Verrall travelled to New Zealand to undertake further sub-specialty training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, before returning to South East Queensland.
